Makhan Gopala -The Butter-Loving Gopala - Digital Sculpture
For Janmashtami, I created Gopala as my personal interpretation of Krishna’s innocent, mischievous childhood ,capturing the joy of stealing butter and the warmth of a timeless Indian tradition. .I deliberately combined traditional Indian sculptural language with my own stylised digital approach, keeping the forms expressive, tactile and slightly imperfect, as though shaped directly from clay.I am particularly drawn to exaggerated expressions, layered ornamentation, organic surface detail and storytelling through a single pose ,I want the sculpture to feel alive rather than merely technically finished.For me, Gopala is not simply a depiction of Krishna; it is an exploration of innocence, playfulness, devotion and the enduring emotional connection between Indian culture and sculpture.
