COMMONMAN | A Digital Sculpture by Surajit Sen
I have endeavoured to reinterpret the spirit of R. K. Laxman’s iconic Common Man through expressive caricature, tactile clay-like textures, and deliberately imperfect forms, preserving the wit, humility, and quiet dignity of the ordinary Indian.
For me, the Common Man is far more than a character; he is the silent witness to India’s changing times, embodying the hopes, struggles, and resilience of millions; through this sculpture, I pay my humble tribute to a timeless cultural legacy.
