Every Halloween month, my imagination seems to wander into darker, more unconventional territories, and I find myself revisiting older works that possess an instinctive affinity with this season; VALAK–NUN is one of them, where ecclesiastical austerity, grotesque anatomy and predatory expression converge into a deliberately unsettling presence.
I am particularly drawn to tactile imperfection, weathered surfaces and anatomical distortion; the deeply incised skin, cadaverous facial structure, unnatural dentition, blood-stained garments and almost sentient eyes reflect my instinct to make a digital sculpture feel physically inhabited rather than merely digitally constructed.
For me, this work is less about creating a conventional horror character and more about exploring the darker recesses of imagination turning fear, curiosity and visual unease into sculptural form, while allowing my digital clay to retain the psychological traces of my own artistic hand.
