MIREBORN – Digital Sculpture by Surajit Sen
On a rain-soaked midnight, while the rhythmic whisper of falling rain echoed beyond my window and a cup of hot coffee steamed beside me, I caught sight of something impossible. From the saturated earth emerged a grotesque entity,an ancient nightmare sculpted from mud, sinew, and darkness. Its writhing tentacles glistened with wet soil, its hollow gaze fixed somewhere beyond the realm of the living. Before I could fully comprehend its existence, it dissolved back into the ground, as though the earth itself had reclaimed its creation.
Mireborn is my attempt to reconstruct that fleeting apparition from memory. Every fold of decaying flesh, every scarred surface, and every twisting tentacle was digitally sculpted to preserve the unsettling moment between imagination and reality. It is a creature born from storm clouds, silence, and the strange visions that emerge when darkness blurs the boundaries of the known world. Perhaps when the rain returns, I may witness the rest of its form and continue this story.
