THE ETERNAL TRICOLOUR: SPIRIT OF A BILLION DREAMS - Digital Sculpture by surajit Sen

On this National Flag Day, I wished to sculpt not merely a flag, but the spirit that rises with it. Inspired by the historic day our Tricolour was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 22 July 1947, this abstract sculpture celebrates courage, peace, growth, and the endless aspirations of a nation.

Designed by Pingali Venkayya, the Indian National Flag became a timeless symbol of freedom, unity, and hope for a nation on the threshold of independence. Through this sculpture, I sought to capture the essence of that spiritcourage soaring in saffron, peace flowing through white, growth rooted in green, and the Ashoka Chakra symbolising the eternal wheel of progress and righteousness.

As an artist and a proud Indian, this creation is my tribute to a nation whose true strength lies in its diversity, resilience, and the dreams of over a billion people. May the Tricolour continue to inspire generations to move forward with dignity, purpose, and unity.
