THE ETERNAL GRIN | Digital Sculpture by Surajit Sen
A grotesque smile, exaggerated anatomy and an almost unsettling innocence I wanted to explore the peculiar boundary between the amusing and the macabre, where an expression becomes an entire personality.
I find great fascination in distorting familiar anatomical structures, exaggerating forms and introducing unexpected details; for me, digital sculpting is as much an exercise in imagination and psychological curiosity as it is in technical craftsmanship.
The result is a creature that appears to be perpetually laughing, yet leaves behind a rather uncomfortable question: what exactly is hiding behind that smile?
