HUMPTY - An Old Digital Sculpture by Surajit Sen

I have always been fascinated by the thin boundary between humour and horror; with Humpty, I explored exaggerated anatomy, grotesque facial expressions and tactile detailing to create a character whose laughter feels both mischievous and deeply unsettling.
My approach is instinctive and unapologetically unconventional I push forms, distort proportions and sculpt every crease, tooth and imperfection with the intention of giving the character a distinctive personality rather than merely an attractive appearance.
For me, digital sculpting is the freedom to explore the strange corners of imagination, where a smile can conceal menace and a seemingly amusing face can become something unforgettable.
